UPDATE ON HORSES IN THE BARN
2 year olds starting to qualify! – Update 7/2007 - McIntosh trained two year olds are looking good as three have gotten in their first qualifier with a fourth soon to qualify. Everyone's Fantasy was impressive in her Sarnia qualifier, coming in 2nd less than a length from the winner. Be good to me shows great ability, although she came up sick after her Mohawk qualifier. The trainer is still high on this filly. The owners are also excited about the debut of Paco De Lucia. He should qualify soon.
Object of Art – Update 6/2007 - This horse has been sold. A great performer with $127,000 career earnings to date and a lifetime mark of 1:50 on a 5/8th mile track. Congratulations to all involved in the ownership of this nice racehorse. Update 4/2007 - Has raced well to date. Competed well in the Cam Fella Pacing Series and has also raced in the open at Windsor. Currently on a three week rest. Getting ready for a busy spring and summer.
Art Smile – A first and second in his first two starts gets this two year old son of supersire Artsplace off on the right foot. This includes a mark of 1:56:4 at Windsor Raceway, which provides high hope to owners Kiwak and Spector in the McIntosh barn. Update 7/2007 - Horse is 7-1-1-2 so far this year earning almost $10,000 in just 7 starts. Timed in 1:53:4 so far this year, this colt is off to a nice start. Update 4/2007 - Art Smile has trained well in the winter and will be preparing to qualify soon.
Packin - This royally bred son of Hambletonian winner Yankee Paco and Hambletonian Oaks winner Worldly Woman looks great as a young two year old. Trained down to 2:03 on the farm track before being shut down for the season, this colt gives the trainer high hopes his 3 year old season. This colts shows great potential. Update 7/2007 - This colt started the year on fire winning his first three races. He sports a 7-3-1-0 record and $12,000 earned to date. This horse expects to make some noise in the OSS program before the years out. Update 4/2007 - This horse is still looking great as he prepares to qualify for the 2007 racing season.
Psyche Unseen - This two year old filly from the great cross of Striking Sahbra-Balanced Image showed tremendous promise training down to 2:08 and getting ready for a full stakes season before a minor injury caused her to be shut down for the season. The filly has experienced a full recovery and will begin training back in November with hopes of getting to display the talent she exhibited as a two year old. Update 7/2007 - Now a proven stakes filly, this fine 3 year old has a victory in the Grassroots division of the Ontario Sire Stakes program. Feeling a little brave, the trainer decided to move her up to the Gold Division where she finished 3rd in her first elimination race, qualifying for the final. Her record to date is 8-2-3-1 with $27,000 in earnings. This filly has a lot of exciting stakes action to come for her connections. Update 4/2007 - This filly continues to show that she has fully recovered 100% as she has trained down to 2:15 easily. Hope to qualify the end of April.
